How to make money with android wear?

If you have android wear and if you want to make money with your android wear, this is the article you need to read to find out How to make money with android wear

I am living in Boston since July 2016. And I was working on Boyle stone street. Although I used to take train to commute to work, I got some walking done too. I walked to my T station and then I used to get down at Park Street station to walk to walk. Boston commons was a good enough reason for me to walk when it is not snowing.

Anyway, last year fall I got an email from my insurer, they were having a competition. The competition was about walking for 6 weeks straight and whoever walked most was going to get $150. It was a good enough reason for me to enroll, ass I was already walking more than 5 miles everyday.

The competition ended and I did not win any prize, it was a team effort and my team did pretty bad late in last week and we finished at 2nd place that was as bad as finishing last.

I did not stop walking, and was searching another way to monetize my step ever since. I found https://www.myachievement.com and you can connect your “moves” app with this web site and let it track the steps you walk or any health related tweet you send out and you make few cents every day. But Moves was not good enough. Move itself does not work all the time as you do not have your phone on you 24/7 and moves does not track any step inside apartment.

After I got my new Samsung Gear S3 Classic from Amazon, I installed Samsung health on my motorola nexus 6p. Surprisingly I found out that Achievement.com supports Samsung health. And since my watch is always on my wrist, it tracks almost all the steps I take and tracks my sleeping timings too. And that converts to $ in https://www.myachievement.com/

Let me tell you few things about achievement.com –

It has an app , you have to install in your android device. And then connect it from Samsung Health. And Achievement.com will automatically track an data that gets recorded in your Samsung Health app.

You can redeem your points once you reach 10000 points.

The app does not drain out much battery out of your device. And this is how you can make money with your android wear.

And if you do not own an android wear, then just install moves and keep your pocket in your phone. As long as location is turned on, and you are walking outside, moves will track your step. And achievement.com can sync with moves. And you still make $ without an android wear. But now you know How to make money with android wear.

What did I learn watching Dangal on Netflix?

Well, before I start bringing up the ugly reasons, let me be very clear about one thing, I would like to see my Country ( i.e: India) winning all Golds in Olympic, Fifa world cup and ICC world Cup and any other competitions such as Asian cup or whatever. Of course I do not follow any sport but that cannot stop me from sharing my observation and points.

Social Problem – Growing up in India, I have seen, society has this perception that, if you are lean / fit, you do not eat enough or you do not have enough money to eat. So if you are fit / thin / lean, you might find your next door aunt telling you that “Did not you have anything to eat?” or “Is everything okay ? Did you lose job ?” You get the point. Now what should you do ? Ignore, I will explain why later.

No sports in Schools or Colleges – My complain is not that India sucks in sports, my problem is, the whole nation is not fit enough, the nation lacks sportsman spirit. And I am trying to find the reason in this article. I believe the main reason is ignorance. Nobody understands or recognizes the importance of sports. May be watching Dangal on Netflix taught me something last night. Why don’t we encourage kids to play sports? Kids want to play anyway, and they do, but why don’t we coach them? Why is it not like a subject like math? YEs, we are not a rich nation, majority of the population is still struggling to reach middle class-hood, and it is important to get a job, and to get a job it is important to study, but if you notice, in Indian cricket team there are lot of examples that education and sports can go hand in hand.

So yeah, parents want kids to study so that they can get jobs, school means a place where you get education, schools do not care to make you play a sport.

AS a result, we hardly grow team spirit or sportsman spirit, we often grow to become a sore loser. We do not learn discipline, and discipline does not mean studying 8 hours everyday. We do not know how it feels to be fit, we think low energy is the standard and physical activity is a curse. We end up stuffing junk food, with zero to minimum physical activity and living a super unhealthy life. And we try to justify that with great marks in exams, and afterwards, buying expensive stuffs because we can, we make that much money. We never understand health is wealth though.

Policies – What is Government doing to promote sports? I remember, in my government school, there was barely anything that told me that government cared. There was PT class for a year or 2 and it was just waste of time.

I think it is time, that the government learn something from American schools and promote different types of sports and rewards the players so that the society can reap the benefit in long term.

So yeah, I blamed the parents for being ignorant and not encouraging kids. I blame the government for not caring at all. I blame the society the least because they install wrong thoughts in minds. But I do not blame society that much, being a poor nation, being thin is mostly associated with malnutrition ( may be) and being poor is a social stigma, being fat and unfit is not. But, you need to ask yourself, what do you want? Do you want an unfit , fat body, and your activities would be limited, and you will have to take occasional trips to doctor to get medicines. Moreover, it is important to remember, what society thinks about you and imposes on you should not be your problem, because to appease the society when you get into problems, nobody will come to take a share of that.

Hair Style for thinning hair – how to hide bald spot?

After struggling with hair loss or male pattern baldness for more than 8 or 9 years I decided to get hair transplant. And I hope you are following me. I have posted everything in my previous posts, like how I found my hair transplant surgeon and what happened or what is the cost etc. Now after 2 months, new hairs have stated showing up. Let us talk about hair style for thinning hair now.

Before I go there, let me tell you one more thing. Not sure If I shared this before or not – After one month of hair transplant when I came back to US, my head had more scalp showing than ever before. I lost existing hair. It was due to shock loss. Since my scalp was poked while implanting hair, it caused shock to that area of scalp.

Hence the shock loss. And the implanted baby hairs also fell off. As I told you before after 3 weeks to 4 weeks of hair transplant you lose implanted hair. But after 7 weeks from hair transplant surgery hair started coming back. I guess mostly the hair those were lost due to shock loss came back first. Now since 2 months have past, I think new hairs are coming out. You can check the pictures below.

Check the pictures above. Yes I use Nexus phone, it is pretty good. But let’s talk about hair for a moment. on the first row, the picture on right shows the scalp area. The are with thin area, I have implants on that area. You can see how thin it look when I do not comb. Now check the pictures on left, now you see less scalp.

You can consider this is my 8th week update. I will post picture of my progress every week.

I am using Johnson’s baby shampoo to clean my scalp.

Rogaine twice daily for last 2 weeks, before than I was using it 1 time before going to bed.

And I am taking biotin, once everyday to boost growth.

Now the important thing, if you have any question please drop it in comment I will get back to you soon enough.

FUT hair transplant 7 weeks update

Hi all, this is another update after 7 weeks of my FUT hair transplant. Today is 1/14/2017 and I got my hair transplant on 11/22/2016. Now let us talk about what happened in between –

3 weeks after FUT hair transplant

  1. after 3 week and between 4th week I lost all grafts
  2. This time period I lost my existing hair in the implanted area, I was looking balder than I was before the operation.
  3. After 6 week, so last week, my existing hairs are coming back ( I guess ) , I am not sure if new hairs are sprouting from grafts
  4. I am having pimples and dandruff often
  5. Pimples are sign of new hair coming out, although my scalp is becoming itchy
  6. Dandruff is cause of minoxidil, and it is making my scalp itchy too
  7. The grafted area is still numb with no pain
  8. the donor area does not have any pain and it is pretty much normal now, it became normal like 2 weeks back.

I am back to normal routine, so I am combing and taking showers, doing combing. Some of the times, because of combing the pimples are getting busted and blood is coming out.

I will keep you posted about my progress.

Hair Transplant update after 3 weeks

So on tenth day from getting my hair transplant I went back to clinic. To get the stitch removed and get shampoo by the nurse. According to the nurse my scalp was dirty as  I still had lot of build ups left on my scalp.

Like I have mentioned before you start shampooing on 3rd day and continue cleaning scalp for 21 straight days.

Anyway after the nurse removed the stitch and shampoo my hair I had to visit the doctor. And this is what he told me –

Here is what to expect after 3 weeks for Hair Transplant

  1. thickness of hair never going to be like how it was when I was 18
  2. baby hairs will fall off – like 90%
  3. after 2nd month new hairs will come out from implanted follicles
  4. he said to apply minoxidil for 1 year

But here is the thing, once you start minoxidil you cannot stop it, so do not stop using minoxidil. May be not twice daily but apply once everyday.

Today is 11th December. And I had my hair transplant done on 22nd November. So, baby hairs have fallen off and the donor area has very mild pain. I stopped taking painkiller after 3rd day from transplant.

I am continuously applying the fucid cream on the donor area all this while. It does not hurt all the time, but when I try to rest, it hurts, and the area is numb.

I can use comb or get a hair cut after 21 days from hair transplant. So yes, you can go back to normal routine. Before 21 days, combing or using your nails to scratch on the scalp is not an option.

Hair Loss Cure-Before removing the stitches

I searched for hair loss cure for years, finally I decided to get hair transplant. Nothing else worked. Anyway here is update after 10 days from hair transplant surgery.

Here is quick update post 10 days after hair loss cure surgery

Today is 2nd December, 2016, been more than 10 days now. I have posted picture of the donor area. It has healed just fine. And today I am going to get rid of the stitch. Yes, there is a discomfort when I rest my head on pillow but there is no pain. And I stopped taking pain meds after 3 days of surgery.

I have been shampooing since 3rd day but very gently. If you could enlarge and check, scalp is not clean and grafts look like beard. In the grafted area , there are build ups . I guess that is blood and sebum. These are crusts and I did not put any pressure to clean them. Today when I visit clinic they are going to shampoo and clean the scalp ( I guess). There is no pain on the grafted area.

I am suffering from hair loss, and I know there are people out there who do not like to see when they see thinning hair. This is why I am trying to capture my journey / experience and just trying to share, if anybody finds it helpful that would help me some good karma. And I am being 100% honest here, If you are a genuine person and have any serious question, I would love to answer you ( provided I have something to say on that). Hair Transplant surgery- 3rd day, yes, kind of important to mention

I got my hair transplant surgery done on 22nd November 2016. After I got all clear from the blood work, I have posted the results below.

Where did I get my Hair Transplant done?

IF you are wondering why I am now disclosing any information about the clinic I used. And I am cropping out those letterheads, do not worry I am going give you that information too.  I want to see the result of their work before I give a shout out to them.

from 22nd November – 25th Nov, I was supposed to keep the headband on. And I had few meds on, if you could scroll down, you can see the prescription of the meds I am taking or may be I was taking. Essentially, these are anti-acid , anti biotic, vitamin , pain killers etc.

After 3 days from Hair Transplant surgery

On 3rd day from hair transplant surgery, I had to take the headband off, it was covering the donor area. Yes I was scared to take it off, because it was hurting for first 2 days.

I had to wash my hair with mild shampoo for first time after surgery. Actually it was first head wash since surgery. Mom played the  role of nurse and she washed my head. You need to apply the shampoo all over head and leave it for 4 – 5 minutes. Then wash off with water, be gentle and use fingertips and not nails.

There was an ointment ( mentioned in prescription) that had to be applied on the donor area ( at back of my head).

And I had to start applying minoxidil, so I did. I mean of course my mom did all these, I just lent my head to work on.

Let me answer few questions –

Did it hurt during operation ? You will be loaded with anesthesia and pain meds. All you will feel that you are carry stone on your head, you wont feel much, first day.

Does the donor area hurt ? Yes it does, I had to take pain meds constantly for 2 days. And while I was trying to lay down, the donor area hurts due to pressure.

Did it hurt after / during taking head band off? Nothing significant

Does it hurt to shampoo ? I guess get a good nurse like I did, and it won’t hurt. On a serious note, you have to be really gentle.

Does the donor area hurt while applying ointment? Not really, you will be able to sense it though.

Does it hurt while applying minoxidil? Nope

Does it hurt when I try to lay down ? Little bit, but it is way better than before even without the head band.

For first 2 days after Hair Transplant surgery, I had to take prescribed meds and  apply saline water every 2 hours to keep the head moist.Hair Transplant surgery

Here are few more points before we conclude –

Personally I did not have any dietary restrictions, since I do not have any addictions ( alcohol, cocaine etc) , I do not have even drink coffee or tea, so I was good, otherwise you can’t smoke or drink for 3 weeks. And physical activity, gym etc for 3 weeks, after 3 weeks you may start mild to moderate physical activities.

One more thing, my forehead is swollen , may be from injections or the head band, it is getting better though, because I am writing this post on 4th day, next day after I took my head band off.Hair Transplant surgery

Hair Implants – The Day I got stabbed million times

That Tuesday 22nd November, I reached doctor’s office at 10.45 am. And I had to change by 11 am. I got needled with anesthesia – it was a test to check if I am allergic. And second needle poked my left arm – it was a tetanus. Painkillers came in form of dessert. I was all set for hair implants.

Before the hair implants surgery

Then I was taken inside the operation theater. And I was welcomed with a huge needle and syringe. The lady wanted to draw 20 ml blood , yes PRP treatment needs blood to be drawn. I saw 4 guys on table . 2 nurses and 1 lady who was there to draw my blood, man I was scared.

Next – I was taken to Doctor’s office to draw hairline. And they did a photo session, yeah my face might go up on their web site very soon. You know that “Before and After ” thing after hair implants.

Next came – trimming of hair. Before they could take skin out of back of my scalp, they had to shave that area.

Let us talk about the hair implant

After that I got millions of needles poked all over my head  , yes I was getting anesthesia. Okay, may be not million, but I think around 20 pokes.

I got skinned, They took strip of my scalp to extract the hair follicles for hair implants, I just realized, I did not mention this before, I went for FUT and PRP, not FUE, what I have heard, FUE is less painful.

After they peeled the skin off , 4 guys started working on picking those follicles, Man let me tell you one thing straight, if you want to figure out if they are going to plant 4000 follicles on your head, I do not think you can, with so many painkillers, anesthesia your brain will be fried. I felt pretty dizzy actually, So just trust the surgeon and his team.

The surgery is still on

They managed to get 4475 follicles from the strip, and I was asked if I would go for 4000 only or with all of them?  I just thought, I already do not have enough follicles. so it would not be wise to throw away few, so it costed me few more grands but I got all 4475 follicles planted in front .

I was given lunch in between :), almost forgot to mention that, surgery was over by 7.30 pm, so almost 8.30 hrs. Darn, I hate being on OT so much. Here is picture of my freshly ploughed head —

Best Hair Transplant surgeon – but how to find him?

Sunday early morning my flight touched my homeland. I was psyched for so many reasons, jet lag was not one of them. Monday, I went to see my doctor ( the surgeon who was going to drill tiny holes on my head and plant those hair follicles, also known as hair transplant surgeon), I had a 2 pm appointment, the consultation fee was 500 rs. I was called in side the chamber after waiting for 1 hr. It was not a long conversations, although I was trying to get the best hair transplant.

What do you need to know if you want best hair transplant ?

  1. I knew my budget
  2. of course, I knew the price ( he charged me 82 rs per follicle, please note follicle might contain 1 to 3 hairs)
  3. And I was going to get 4000 follicles, that is the most count surgeon could do in one day
  4. He suggested to implant follicles in front of the head and leaving the crown area.
    1. PEr him the top of the head including crown area contains 40000 follicles, I have like 10000 left, so he wanted to cover the front first
    2. He asked me what I use and for how long, I told my Rogaine and finasteride usage history
  5. We scheduled my surgery date on Tuesday, that was the next day 22 November 2016.
  6. We had to give them a check of 30000 rs to book the process
  7. And that was not all, it continued –

  8. We were charged additional 200rs for a shampoo and a hair band. And I was supposed to wash my hair with the shampoo that night and next day morning. That was the most expensive shampoo I have ever used in my life. Darn, now I remember they kept the used bottle also, I will give you the detail in next post.
  1. Almost forgot to mention, doc prescribed me few blood test. So my blood was drawn on same day. Blood work report was given to me same night. It costed me 1500 rs. But pls note, most of the recommended blood works were already done as part of my yearly check up.
  2. The receptionist called a person to draw the blood, who came in 10 mins. He was awesome , apart from the fact. He wanted 1600 rs for the prescribed tests, my dad negotiated and settled for 1500 rs.

Here are 2 pictures of the area, I was going to get transplant on. And all I wanted was the best hair transplant

Men hair restoration Questions Answered

Let’s talk men hair restoration, yes we are talking about hair transplant. But, before going in to that, we need to get answer to few basic questions.

My first question regarding men hair restoration was – does thing work? Is it permanent?

As I came to know, for hair transplant, the follicles are taken from back of your head. And these guys are supposed to be permanent, genetically resistant to DHT, good for people with hair problem 😛

Please bear in mind, non transplanted hair still can fall off. As those are genetically not immunized to hair fall 🙁 .( shame on you hair engineer up in somewhere, so disappointed in you)

Second –  How much does it cost?

It is expensive, so please shop around. There are cheaper options avalable overseas. But I will say you want a good quality for following reasons –

  1. I heard of people dying of anesthesia ( yea man, he went for a cheaper guy I assume)
  2. You hair is on stake ( forget about looks, and money) and we already do not have much left

So, just do not go for a surgeon because he is offering cheap pricing. You need to get enough information about his track record.

Third: Does it hurt ? Can I manage to go back to work next day?

Every video I watched who got this procedure done, nobody mentioned too much pain, may be you need 3 days break you can go back to work.

fourth – Who will be a good surgeon ? Should I get it done in USA or should I go to India?

Finding a good men hair restoration doc was the hardest part, I kept the budget thing aside, I wanted to find someone who has lot of experience and who takes care of his patience. If you are in States, I will say try to get reviews ( on yelp) or simply good the surgeons name, YouTube is a great place to find testimonial.

I found my men hair restoration surgeon on YouTube ( yea funny and risky, I know) , but I chose to get it done in India, since I was coming here for a vacation anyway and my parents live here, so I wanted them to get a chance to nurse me once again 😛

Fifth- I wanted to  know experience of other people , positive, negative and everything

while researching I came across bad experiences as well, such as people got swollen face , transplants falling off. And like I mentioned before, one guy died because anstesia was too much for him to handle.

So as you can imagine not everything was encouraging.

To tell you the truth, my surgeon first tested if I am allergic to the anesthesia they were going to put me on. Turned out I was okay with it , next came tetanus – man nothing happened. And turns out transplant fall off in a month naturally before they grow back, so no need to be panicked.

Disclaimer – I am not trying to a doctor, neither am I trying to tell you what to do. I am suffering from hair loss, and I know there are people out there who do not like to see when they see thinning hair.
